A great film franchise made possible by the inclusion of several household name brands.

When you watch Jurassic World for the first time, you may notice what a product placement fiesta it is/was. The placement is clear and obvious, and it can’t be missed - that's the whole point. The specialist shots built into the script are undeniable.

Some of the placements include brands like Mercedes Benz, in which the movie included models like the Spinter, the G 550, and the GLE Coupe. Within the movie, you’ll also find products like Samsung phones and tablets, Dr. Dre Beats headphones, a Triumph motorcycle, Coco-Cola (multiple times), Converse and Nike trainers, and Verizon.

As you can see, the producers of Jurassic World left out no opportunity to fill the frames of the film with marketing sales pitches. When you compare the very limited product placement in the original movie, Jurassic Park, it can feel a little too much in some places.

Director Colin Trevorrow argued in an interview that the product placement in his film should be seen as a criticism of consumer society, the audience did not get the satire.

Instead, everyone saw it as a money-grab by the movie makers. Someone even created an alternative trailer from frames in the film that contained advertising - that is rather amusing.

Product placement in Jurassic World is rather unexpected in places making it hard to take the film seriously, save that without such revenues the film would not have been so well made. There are shots where you don’t expect advertisement at all. On the other hand, you don't really think that dinosaurs will be recreated by obsessive geneticists, do you?
