In the Heart of the Sea’s trailer is awesome, like Jaws with a whale, its tone hearkens back to Moby Dick with CGI benefits. This is the kind of seafaring voyage David O. Selznick might have made, a refreshing counterbalance to most other epic-scale movies, but even with all the visuals of a big-ticket holiday release, a great cast, superb filmgraphy and solid performances, it struggled to get going. Ron Howard's film was not huge at the box office, but very well chronicles a fascinating era in US history.
This is an A to Z listing of some of the best film making companies on planet earth.
